Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using CouplesTodo ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CouplesTodo is a shared task and list management app designed for couples and household members. It allows users to create lists, add items, track completion, and invite a partner to a shared space.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or another user's account
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or disruptive content
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Use automated scripts to access the App in a way that burdens our infrastructure

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create (lists, items, and notes). By using the App you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service.

We do not claim any ownership over your data.

6. Shared Spaces

When you connect with a partner, both users gain access to the shared space and its content. You are responsible for who you invite. You can disconnect from a partner at any time in Settings.

7. Availability & Changes

We aim to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time, with or without notice.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
